Onboarding Specialist - School of Nursing

The Onboarding Specialist, School of Nursing (SON), position serves as a bridge between University Admissions, the SON Advising Center, and the online program manager (OPM). The Onboarding Specialist expands on the initial review of applicants performed by Admissions and the Registrar’s Office to ensure graduate and undergraduate candidates meet the extensive and complex requirements for admission to the SON various degree and certificate programs.

In conjunction with the Office of the Registrar and Graduate Admissions, this position will help applicant files reach complete status for admission review by the SON. This process will include required GPA calculations, validation of transfer credits to School of Nursing student accounts, as well as review School of Nursing student degrees who become core complete at UT Tyler, including documentation of milestones on transcripts. Verification of accreditation status of previous degree-granting institutions is required to ensure both graduate and continuing undergraduate applicants meet Board of Nursing standards. This position provides training and consultation to the School of Nursing advising team regarding core course requirements and core complete status and nursing requirements and status.
