Job Summary
The Assistant Director of Admissions Operations, under direction, will play a pivotal role in managing the Admissions Office’s CRM, Technolutions Slate. This position is responsible for fostering a culture of data-informed decision-making, developing statistical reports throughout the admissions funnel, and assists with strategic initiatives to achieve enrollment goals Additionally, the Assistant Director will supervise the admissions operations staff, ensuring data integrity and effective processing of inquiry and application materials for both undergraduate and graduate levels. The role will also oversee the admissions decision process for all academic programs, ensuring compliance with admissions requirements.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Co-leads the management and innovation of the Technolutions Slate instance, ensuring effective implementation, maintenance, and staff training.
Operationalizes data-informed strategies for funnel development, leveraging Slate’s capabilities.
Provides leadership and supervision for the admission operations team, including student employees.
Coordinates staff processes associated with leave, performance management and annual reviews, interviews or search committees associated with hiring and staffing.
Coaches, mentors, and assists with the training and development of unit staff.
Ensures implementation and communication of clear departmental processes to ensure employees have a solid understanding of their roles and responsibilities.
Conducts analyses and prepares admissions reports summarizing information on incoming students.
Oversees day-to-day operations of application processing including, but not limited to, recording the receipt of documentation, accurate data entry, organization and troubleshooting in preparing applicant files for a timely admission decision.
Partners with the Director of Enrollment System/Slate to identify and develop tools to analyze and manage workflow within the operations team.
Assists with error report management within CRM by using daily exception reports; resolves surface level data errors identified by daily reports, consolidates duplicate records and researches others.
Maintains knowledge of the university's tools and systems, including Banner, Argos, and Slate. Learns new systems and tools as needed.
Prepares and disseminates regular reports on team performance, including visibility of application processing and admissions decision-making.
Assists with development and implementation of communication flows to parents and prospective students.

Minimum Requirements
Education – Bachelor’s degree in applicable field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience – Six years of experience.
Knowledge of – Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications. Knowledge of College fair programs.
Ability to – Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong presentation skills.
Preferred Requirements
Experience – Six years of experience in admissions, with a strong background in CRM systems, Technolutions Slate experience preferred.
