Texas Lutheran University (TLU) is seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented professional to join our Admissions team as a Senior Data Application Analyst. This position plays a critical behind-the-scenes role in the student enrollment experience by ensuring that application and admissions data is accurate, complete, timely, and ready to support informed enrollment decisions.
Reporting to the Vice President for Enrollment, the Senior Data Application Analyst will serve as a key resource for the processing and integrity of admissions data across undergraduate, transfer, graduate, and nursing populations. The ideal candidate is someone who enjoys working with data, solving problems, identifying inconsistencies, and ensuring that systems and processes work accurately and efficiently.
What You’ll Do:
As the Senior Data Application Analyst, you will:
- Manage the receipt, coding, verification, and processing of application data from platforms such as ApplyTexas and the Common Application.
- Review applications and supporting documentation to identify and resolve data inconsistencies and errors.
- Serve as the first-line resource for troubleshooting application and document issues.
- Process applicant documents received through multiple electronic sources and ensure required documentation is appropriately recorded.
- Proactively audit admissions data and correct irregularities to maintain a high level of data integrity.
- Evaluate academic records to determine admission eligibility and academic scholarship eligibility.
- Own the GPA recalculation and high school transcript evaluation process.
- Collaborate with the Associate Director for Admissions Information Systems on CRM administration, quality control, and admissions policies and procedures.
- Create and edit CRM queries and reports to provide timely information and updates to enrollment leadership.
- Communicate directly with applicants when questions or issues related to their applications need to be addressed.
- Manage correspondence within the applicant email inbox and ensure timely responses.
- Lead the processing and release of admissions decisions, including admits and denials.
- Ensure accepted students are appropriately processed and acceptance materials are sent.
- Process application withdrawals, cancellations, deposit cancellations, and appeal decisions.
- Partner with the Department of Nursing to recalculate prerequisite GPAs for prospective nursing students.
- Create, update, and maintain organization records within Slate and Jenzabar.
- Assist with the annual updating of application forms, reports, and related admissions materials.
- Import large data files and demonstrate a strong understanding of Slate source formats.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of admissions processes, data quality, and departmental effectiveness.
